The softer side of the mattress has a 2 ″ layer of convoluted poly foam that functions as a transition layer to soften the mattress. (This layer appears like egg crate foam) Above that is a 3 ″ layer of copper-infused memory foam. This is the side for people who enjoy the conventional memory foam feel of sinking into the mattress, and being hugged as it contours around your body.
The copper infused memory foam offers cooling benefits by deflecting heat away from your body and keeping you cooler as you sleep.
The copper gel memory foam layer also helps provide a luxurious, extremely supportive feel to the mattress because the copper does not give in under pressure and actually pushes back with a firming reaction.
There is in addition a detachable cover which is really soft and can be cleaned.

This flippable mattress provides you 2 firmness selections. The soft side is medium soft; about a 3.5 out of 10. Side sleepers will enjoy this side with the hugging feeling for your pressure points.
The firm side is a medium to medium firm; 7 out of 10 and is preferred by back and stomach sleepers because of the increased firmness and less sinkage. Side sleepers who like a firmer mattress will more than happy with this side as well.
Remember that the larger you are, the softer the bed will feel. It is best for people under 230 lbs.

We were told that the hybrid does offer more stability to heavier people because of the pocketed inner coils that give it more structure than the regular memory foam mattress.
