(This layer looks like egg crate foam) Just above that is a 3 ″ layer of copper-infused memory foam. This is the side for individuals who love the conventional memory foam feel of sinking into the mattress, and being cradled as it contours around your body.
The copper infused memory foam produces cooling benefits by deflecting heat away from your body and keeping you cooler as you sleep.
The copper gel memory foam layer also helps provide a luxurious, very supportive feel to the mattress since the copper does not give in under pressure and actually pushes back with a firming response.
There is in addition a detachable cover which is really soft and can be cleaned.

HOW FIRM IS THE LAYLA?
This flippable mattress offers you two firmness options. The soft side is medium soft; about a 3.5 out of 10. Side sleepers will enjoy this side with the cradling feeling for your pressure points.
The firm side is a medium to medium firm; 7 out of 10 and is preferred by back and stomach sleepers because of the increased support and less sinkage. Side sleepers who like a firmer mattress will be pleased with this side.
Bear in mind that the heavier you are, the softer the bed will feel. It is best for people under 230 pounds.
Motion Isolation

We were told that the hybrid does offer more stability to heavier individuals because of the inner coils that give it more structure than the regular memory foam mattress.
