The softer side of the mattress has a 2 ″ layer of convoluted poly foam that acts as a transition layer to soften the mattress. (This layer appears like egg crate foam) Above that is a 3 ″ layer of copper-infused memory foam. This is the side for individuals who enjoy the traditional memory foam feel of sinking into the mattress, and being cradled as it contours around your body.
The copper infused memory foam provides cooling benefits by deflecting heat away from your body and keeping you cooler as you sleep.
The copper gel memory foam layer also helps offer a luxurious, very supportive feel to the mattress since the copper does not yield under pressure and actually pushes back with a firming response.
There is in addition a removable cover which is extremely soft and can be cleaned.

HOW FIRM IS THE LAYLA?
This flippable mattress offers you 2 firmness selections. The soft side is medium soft; about a 3.5 out of 10. Side sleepers will enjoy this side with the cradling feeling for your pressure points.
The firm side is a medium to medium firm; 7 out of 10 and is favored by back and stomach sleepers because of the increased support and less sinkage. Side sleepers who like a firmer mattress will more than happy with this side also.
The heavier you are, the softer the bed will feel. It is best for people under 230 lbs.

We were told that the hybrid does offer more stability to larger individuals because of the pocketed coils that give it more structure than the regular memory foam mattress.
The memory foam is designed to push against pressure, providing great support, especially for people who like to sleep on their side or back.
