The copper gel memory foam layer also helps offer a luxurious, very supportive feel to the mattress because the copper does not yield under pressure and actually pushes back with a firming reaction.

HOW FIRM IS THE LAYLA?
This flippable mattress provides you two firmness selections. The soft side is medium soft; about a 3.5 out of 10. Side sleepers will enjoy this side with the hugging feeling for your pressure points.
The firm side is a medium to medium firm; 7 out of 10 and is preferred by back and stomach sleepers because of the increased firmness and less sinkage. Side sleepers who are fond of a firmer mattress will be happy with this side also.
The heavier you are, the softer the bed will feel. It is best for individuals under 230 pounds.

After speaking to customer service at Layla Sleep, we were told that the memory foam mattress and the new hybrid mattress both can hold up to 1,000 pounds.
We were also told that the hybrid does offer more stability to larger individuals because of the pocketed coils that give it more structure than the traditional memory foam mattress.
The memory foam is created to push against pressure, creating great support, especially for side and back sleepers.
